Indian film and television actor (born 1968)

Dilip Joshi (born 26 May 1968)^[2][3] is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films and television and is best known for portraying the lead role in the long-running Indian Hindi-language television sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, in which he plays the role of a businessman Jethalal Champaklal Gada, who gets himself in many problems and troubles.

The show originally broadcasts on the channel Sony SAB.^[4][5]

Personal life

While doing BCA, he was awarded the INT (Indian National Theater) Best Actor.^[6]

He was a co-owner of a travel agency from 1985 until 1990.^[7]

Career

Joshi started his acting career in 1989, playing the character of Ramu in the film Maine Pyar Kiya.

Later, he appeared in several Gujaratidramas, one of them being Bapu Tame Kamaal Kari with Sumeet Raghavan and Amit Mistry, the trio known for their television show Shubh Mangal
