He always had an eye for making it into the Arena of Cinema in India. So, after finishing his studies, he came to Mumbai in search of a career in his dream profession. Luckily, he was introduced to a choreographer Sampath, who took Chinni as his assistant.
His work was limited such that he used to choreograph the little portion of the songs.
He choreographed songs for various hit films like Ram Aur Shyam, Haathi Mere Saathi.

Then, he suddenly disappeared from the field that he dreamt of getting in right from his childhood days. After nearly 8-10 years, he was back with a bang. He became a solo choreographer and in 1988, he did his first film, Hero Hiralal.
His works for the films like Swarg, Thanedaar was appreciated by the audiences and Chinni became one of the most sought-after choreographers of Bollywood town thereby fulfilling his dream.
